In the 7th grade I decided I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was able to go to my hometown veterinary clinic for career day. Somehow, my mind changed throughout high school, and I decided to go to college for a totally different career. As a junior (political science major) in college, I managed to find my way back to the veterinary field.
Puppies! But seriously, I love building relationships with people and their pets. It’s an honor to be trusted with the care of someone’s animal!
I earned a Political Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 (SMTTT!). After that, I worked as an admissions counselor for the University of Southern Mississippi while I finished my prerequisites for veterinary school. I received my DVM in 2017 from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine.
Memphis is known for good food and great music, so I’m excited to experience that!
I just wish that I was good at a sport, any sport!
