Why We Chose St. Jude For Our September Speak Up Recipients

Carson Head was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, cancer of the bone, on March 7,2014 at the young age of 8. Carson was one of a kind and had so many dreams for when she grew up. One of her many dreams was to become a Veterinarian. I was lucky enough to help part of her dream come true. Many days after Carson’s doctors visits, she would get to come spend the day at The Pet Hospitals. Carson received a puppy named Princess who became her very own patient! Even though Carson was fighting the battle of her life she always had the best jokes and always kept us laughing. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with her and help be her assistant. Carson even taught me a dance or two during some of her visits.
Carson lost her battle with cancer June 26,2015. No child should have to endure the pain of cancer and no family should have to endure the loss. This month our Speak Up program is donating all of the funds raised to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Carson Head. Please come donate or purchase a T-shirt at any of our 7 locations. If you would like to see Carson’s lab coat or artwork from her classmates please stop by our Germantown location which is dedicated to Carson Head.
We are still here for you at all our locations with normal business hours. For your protection and the protection of our dedicated staff, we are asking you to let us come to your vehicle and get your pet and also to deliver needed medications rather than having you enter our facilities. We will continue to provide your pets with the highest quality care you’ve come to expect, but follow the link below to read about our additional protective measures as this time:
