One of my first jobs as a teenager was working on a small farm, where I taught horseback riding lessons and helped care for the other animals on the property. While I had always loved animals, this experience truly lit a passion in me for animals and animal health, leading me to pursue veterinary medical technology in college. During this time, I started working as a veterinary assistant with The Pet Hospitals, and the amazing mentorship and experience I gained during this time is what ultimately compelled me to continue my education and become a vet. Looking back, I am so thankful for each and every step that led to me being able to work in a field I am in love with!
