I remember writing a research paper in my junior year of high school about wanting to be a veterinarian. I learned through my research that I needed to get experience with animals to get accepted into a veterinary school. At 16, I began working in a mixed animal clinic every weekend as a kennel tech. That experience affirmed my passion for veterinary medicine which led me to pursue my dream career. I still have to pinch myself to remember this is real.
I love that there is always something new to learn in veterinary medicine. I have always said if it were possible for me, I would go to school for the rest of my life because I love learning. Working in veterinary medicine requires you to continually learn new things, grow, and develop skills.
I love the food. I especially love the barbeque.
I wish that I could play the drums.
