Why did you become a vet?

I became a veterinarian because I wanted to combine my love of animals with the intellectually challenging field of medicine.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

What I love most about being a veterinarian is helping to foster the special bond between clients and their animals. I find that most owners want to do whatever is best to keep their pets happy and healthy. It is my job to educate the humans so that they can best care for their canine and feline companions.

Education

SA from Princeton University, DVM from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine

What do you love most about living in Memphis?

Memphis has a wonderful array of outdoor activities for kids, pets, and even grown ups! The Shelby Farms green spaces are wonderful for the whole family. You can swim your dogs in the dog park, wear your children out on the playground, and even run under the beautiful green canopy of the Greenline.

What secret talent do you wish that you had?

I’ve always wished for the ability to fly. But until those crazy flying squirrel-type sky diving suits get a whole lot safer, I’ll have to keep my feet on the ground.
