“I have always had a deep love for animals and knew that helping them through medicine was my calling in life. There is no greater joy for me than being able to help a hurting pet and reunite them with their owner.”
Dr. Newton has three dogs named Emma, Addyson, and Bones and four cats named Dobby, Gandalf, Miriam and Sadie.
Why did you become a vet?
I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was three years old. I have always had a deep love for animals and knew that helping them through medicine was my calling in life. There is no greater joy for me than being able to help a hurting pet and reunite them with their owner.
What do you enjoy about your job?
Working with amazing people who come together as a team every day to literally save lives.
Undergraduate: Austin College in Sherman, TX. Graduate: Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. I am still at my very first job out of veterinary school here at The Pet Hospitals 🙂
What do you love most about living in Memphis?
My favorite part of Memphis is being active with my church family. I love getting to know new people, helping others in our community, and reaching out to others around the world. Memphis has such a strong group of people who support one another and I love this about us!
We are still here for you at all our locations with normal business hours. For your protection and the protection of our dedicated staff, we are asking you to let us come to your vehicle and get your pet and also to deliver needed medications rather than having you enter our facilities. We will continue to provide your pets with the highest quality care you’ve come to expect, but follow the link below to read about our additional protective measures as this time:
